Thought I may as well set up a knitting community; it had to happen sometime! I would be happy to have co-admins on board, so let me know if you're interested.

What I'm currently knitting: the lace prairie shawl from Cheryl Oberle's "Folk Shawls" in light grey 8 ply wool that I picked up on eBay years ago. I started it so I'd have a warm, lap-covering project, and I'm about 80% done now. It's a simple pattern repeat and good brainless knitting, and the results will be nice and cosy when it's done.

What I'm knitting: finishing up my Fruit Loop socks and working on my Garden Socks for the April Sockdown challenge over on Ravelry.

I'm currently working on my Viper Pilot socks and trying to decide between two shawl patterns for the Schaeffer Anne that I decided was too light for socks. (They actually knit fine as socks but I realized I'd never wear because they feel too light and delicate.)

Viper Pilot socks? I can only picture Sam knitting Kara a pair of socks to keep her feet warm during space battles. Which would be awesome.

*googles* I do like the socks. Pretty! How far are you on yours?

I've just started the foot -- but I'm also doing a conversion on the pattern and knitting from the toe up. The way my calves are shaped, it just works better. So far, it's working quite well. (And I can so see Sam knitting, too.)
