open, lacy scarf pattern

Hello knitters,

I just picked up some lovely sport-weight bamboo at our LYS and I want to make a small scarf for my sister--I've got about 150 yards, and it's a dark color so I want an open pattern--more of an accent scarf than for warmth.

I have spent the last several hours browsing on Ravelry and am left decidedly "Meh." Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I really love these two stitches:

http://ddrbroderick.blogspot.com/2006/11/my-pal-got-her-scarves.html (the blue/green one)

I've actually done both of these in sport-weight bamboo with size 7ish needles. (I say "-ish" cause I don't rightly remember.)

I think there's some possibilities in One Skein Wonders (but [personal profile] panisdead has my copy right now).

I was thinking of doing this feather and fan variation with the purple handspun silk I bought at the Alpaca farm. . .

I've done the lace ribbon in bamboo sport weight, and also this dragon-scale like pattern (same yarn, different color). I also love the montego bay pattern...

I'm making a Haruha scarf and it's hella fun

I'm partial to Anne Hanson's Little Nothings collection.

The patterns are for sale, but they are well worth the purchase price.
