Designer bingo

Lots of people have favorite designers. I certainly have a few, but what are the chances that you've had a chance to browse through designs by my favorite knitwear designers?

So let's have a bit of a share. What one designer delights and surprises your knitting sensibilities?

I am always awed by the work of Julia Mueller, who publishes as Laris Designs (Ravelry link). Those cables make me swoon.

I love Ysolda Teague (rav link) I love how her designs fit, how they are so far from old fashioned boxy or sack-like jumpers. I also think the way her jumpers and cardis are constructed is really interesting!

I really like Anne Hanson. She designs pretty much anything and everything (hats, socks, sweaters, etc). And whenever I find a shawl I like, it turns out to have been designed by Stephen West.

For socks I like Hunter Hammersen and yarnissima.

I second Anne Hanson and Stephen West! I also really enjoy lace shawls designed by Sivia Harding (the Hanging garden stole, swoon), but for non-lacy wraps I positively adore Grace Anna Farrow's work. I'm knitting my second Grade, and I intend to knit a Volt too. Then there's Kate Davies and Gudrun Johnston's stuff. Lovely.

Ooh, I'm a fan of her designs too--I haven't knit any yet but they're so gorgeous!

My favorites are Birgit Freyer and tiny owl knits (both Ravelry links).

I'm still girding my loins to purchase a design by her, but anyway. I do like Norah Gaughn's work, although I have yet to knit stuff. I like Kim Hargreaves as well. Yes, it's a little Lord of the Manor and yummy mummy at times, but sometimes, you just want to show off a yarn with a lovely bit of stitching.
