A few things I've finished knitting recently:

Had some yarn left over from the cowl, so made up these fingerless mitts:


Finished these mittens just in time for winter to be over to get a head start on next winter:

Those are gorgeous! I think I have to knit those Ambroso mittens! And maybe the Nook cover, too. I'm trying to tell from the Ambroso - is that a sport or dk weight yarn? It's hard to tell from the knitty pattern, or maybe I'm just not awake yet. I have a yarn that might work for it, it's Alpaca in a DK weight from a local farm and I've been saving it...*plots*

Thanks! Ambroso is a fun pattern to knit. The way the cables are mirrored makes the second one just as entertaining to knit as the first one. :) The suggested yarn is a DK, I think. I used a different yarn, a merino DK. I think Alpaca would be lovely for these. That would be so soft and warm.

I really like the lacy look on that scarf. Definitely going to try that! What yarn did you use?

Thank you! :) I didn't know about that community. I'll check into that.

It's a great pattern and can be made in different lengths in DK or worsted. I'd like to knit another one in wool. This one is a gift for someone who doesn't like wool, so I used a soft acrylic: Lion Brand Vanna's Choice.

Thank you! I didn't use a pattern. They're basic mitts to which I added a lace pattern called "Lily of the Valley," that I found in a book I have. I can make PM you with the lace pattern and my notes, if you'd like. :)
