Knitting Blog Recs

Does anyone have suggestions for useful, good knitting blogs? I'm not a particularly twee person, so I'm looking for anything useful and interesting, but not cutesy. I've been looking, but there are so many knitting blogs out there that it's hard to winnow through them all.

Thank you for any suggestions!

Franklin Habit's blog is often extremely entertaining as well as being a source of really wonderfully obscure things: http://the-panopticon.blogspot.com/

I'll third TECHknitting; it's often a bit dry but the technical content is just stellar. It's more of a reference than something to keep up with on a regular basis. (Not to mention it's on vacation.)

The Yarn Harlot is definitely worth a look, too. (Honestly, I don't find it nearly as entertaining as I used to and her books don't grab me like they used to, but I'm not sure if I changed or if her writing did!)

Seconding all the comments on Yarn Harlot - I love her older stuff, but her most recent book seemed to have more stuff about her kids, husband and writing than it did knitting (I haven't actually added up how many of each, but quite a few of the stories were not knitting-related in any way.)

The thing with Yarn Harlot is that it is her personal blog, rather than being a dedicated "knitting blog". So when she took up spinning, it shifted to knitting + spinning, and now she's heavily into exercise it's knitting + spinning + riding. Has actually happened in quite a few blogs where people reach a certain point and develop a major interest in exercise/their diet and the blog shifts to being mostly about that.

Agreed about the Yarn Harlot. I suspect a lot of it is the usual problem of bloggers getting book deals and then finding that a lot of what they have to write about now is book tours, which understandably tends to be a bit same-y, and not quite the content their original readers were there for. Still, worth a look, she's still entertaining, and if you've never read her musings on book readings before, they'll seem less re-hashed to you.
