I have this marvelous beach blanket. Sure, it's good for the usual blanket-y type things: keeping you warm, drying you off, giving you a place to sit seaside without getting sand up in your pink bits. But that's not what makes this beach blanket so wonderful.

What's special about this blanket is its ability to transform my full-sized daybed into a gigantic grid for blocking lace:



Just had to share with people who'd understand my need for a huge blocking grid. My coworkers just gave me blank looks when I tried to explain why this was so very useful.

How helpful!

Albeit confusing to those of us with lowbandwidth brains who first look at the pretty adn admire how you make the shawl such a wonderful rainbowy colour before reading the text and then realising that doh, that blanket DOES continue on past the lace.

Extra special day of neuro issues, you give me the giggles sometimes.

Hee, and the flat, two-dimensional nature of the photo is no help.

Though now I want to wear the shawl over a rainbow shirt to see what it does. (It would most likely just distract me all day.)

It probably doesn't help that I have a certain fondness for rainbowy stuff (which I'm sure is a complete surprise *g*)

GOREGEOUS shawl by the way. I only just now realised that I only *thought* that at you, I never actually got it out my fingers. Oops *blush*

Yes, I'm shocked -- shocked!! -- to hear of your fondness for rainbows!

And thank you. I, too, often find that my fingers and/or voice are often not paying attention to what my brain's trying to communicate!
