Cabling is Cool

I started my first cabling project last night.  It is so very cool.  I'm going to want to cable everything for a while.  The project is cabled baby socks and I am using an organic, undyed, cotton yarn. 

Cabling!  It's my new thing.

I was looking at that kimono last night as well. It is so cute! I love it in red and black.

So far, I am liking this pattern. It's the first one out of the book that I've done. It was funny last night when I was deciding what to knit as one of my friends who I knit with was here and we were exclaiming over ever single item in the book. Debbie Bliss' designs are wonderful!

Are you planning to dye them yourself later, or just leaving them plain? They look comfy!

I think I'm going to leave them plain. The colors of natural cotton are really rich and varied and I'm using one that is like very light coffee. Plus, the momma I'm planning on giving these to is fairly granola and I know that she'll appreciate them being undyed. However, I did think about doing a koolaid dye for a while.
