I am doing some preemie hat charity knitting right now, and I am looking for more ideas for hat patterns. So far, I have done the following hats plus one that looks kind of like Fair Isle only it was suuuuper simple because tiny hats have only so much space.

from left to right: cream bear/rabbit hat, shrek hat, eggplant/berry hat
I am trying to make pretty/silly hats, and I have boatloads of those three colors (purple, green, creamy yellow). I got ideas for the above hats from Ravelry and kind of made them preemie sized.
I'm trying to make hats that are fun for parents to look at when they're worried about their kids, and also are not uncomfortable to lie on if you are a baby (so the things that stick out are on the top, not on the sides, etc.) and won't get caught in tubes.
If you have any ideas for fun patterns I could try, I'd really appreciate it. Even if it's just "Make a hat to look like X" with no pattern, I could always try adapting it anway. Thank you!

Plus kids may have allergies to acrylic or animal fibers that they're not aware of yet. (This may not be true for all preemies. Or even all kids. I come from a family with excessive allergies.)
