feywood: Merlin in the woods (Default)
[personal profile] feywood posting in [community profile] knitting
Last week, I was trying to sort through my stash and found some nice white fingering yarn. I browsed Ravelry for a while and so, a shawl was born. I've never finished a lace pattern like this before, so I'm quite pleased with myself. It's available here on Ravelry.

Pinned and drying.

Lace detail.

That looks so beautiful! And you did all that in a week? I am very impressed.

That is absolutely gorgeous! I'm gonna have to hunt that one up on Ravelry. You did a fantastic job for your first lace shawl, too. My first lace shawl is still languishing on the needles, about 3/4s done.

This is gorgeous! I'm still trying to figure out the basics since so far I don't think I'm getting the result that I'm supposed to.

That is utterly lovely. Could you add the link to the pattern to your post?

I can't do lace at all. I have the yarn and chart put down for that shawl, I do. One day, I shall, one day!

That looks gawjus. I am jealous.

Looks superb! I'm never likely to reach that level of competence myself, so I stand in awe of your prowess.

Beautiful! I did not remember that there were nupps in that. I recently got the Estonian knitting book (the English one, not Haapsalu Sall (sp?), although I want that one badly) and the projects are really inspiring.
