I'm so happy with it that I kind of have to share it with the community ;)
At the weekend I actually finished my first piece of knitting that's not a scarf. *G* Finished meaning it's all done, no more work needed. My first ever jumper is kinda done, but the collar takes ages to knit. That's why that one isn't finished yet.
This project is an Aran jumper made from a lovely Merino / Cashmere mix - Austermann Cashmere Light - in black. It's 70% Merino and 30% Cashmere. 10 ply yarn, but kind of "single ply" as the threads itself aren't properly twisted. Which makes the yarn rip easily, especially when casting on. Some cursing was involved, therefore, in making this jumper. But not too much. And lifelines literally saved me a couple of times. I used a 7mm needle.
It took me almost six months, because I usually knit on weekends and have multiple projects going at once (and I never met a knitter who doesn't). Incidentally, I started this one while I was in the Lake District!
Without further ado... pictures. Just click on them to get to the big version.
Pictures taken with my phone... to test the camera.
