So I made my very first sweater for my niece, who is due soon. I am not sure if I am more excited about the baby or the sweater.
( Baby sweater photos below the cut... )So as soon as I finished I was in a knitting mode of MUST KNIT MOAR SWEATERZ even though I didn't really have the yarn for the kind of sweater project I wanted to do and I had plenty of perfectly good sock yarn and sock projects I had intended to work on. But no, I *must* knit more sweaters, and I decided that knitting a hoodie for my 3-year-old nephew would be a good idea (aiming for when he turns four).
I have to finish a scarf before I can start it, because I need the needle I'm using. That's okay, I'm only a few rows away (this is deceptive, as I'm knitting the long way, but it's really only one episode of Sherlock and I'll be done. It's a garter stitch scarf.)
Anyway, I bought the yarn for a kid's sweater, and what happened? I finally started knitting the second sock I've had in my knitting bag for over a month, and now I can't stop thinking about knitting socks.
Is it yarn fumes? What? Can someone tell me?
(Note that I am not complaining, because I would like to finish the second sock and also knit a pair of socks for my mom that I promised her at Christmas.)
