Since last year was such a success, does anyone want to try the Yarn Swap again?

PS, afuna, I'm sure someone would be more than happy to send you yarn if for no other reason than the shiny new update page.

I would love to, but I made such a huge dent in my yarn stash this past year (yay!) that I don't have anything left that's decent. It was great fun, though, and I hope everybody has a good time.

Hurrah for Destashing! I really need to do that as well - I'll probably participate myself this year and send some of the yarn I keep getting given to someone who will use it.

I'm hoping everyone has fun too. I enjoyed doing it last year and hoping it's just as much fun this year.

You find something in your stash, send it off to someone else and someone sends something from their stash to you! Of course, minding allergies and the like.

Last year everyone seemed to enjoy it and I'd love to have people enjoy it this year, too!

It sounds like fun, but I think I could only honestly commit if it were after the new year, unfortunately. I plan to blow through most of my stash on holiday gifts, and I would hate to send something off only to realize it would have been perfect for Gift X, or worse, not send someone something perfect, because I thought I would need it. :(

By January I can be "Oh, I have two whole skeins of this awesomeness left, and nothing planned! Enjoy, internet friend!"

I'm in! I loved it last year, and right now I've got a couple of nice skeins that need a loving new home because I turned out to be allergic to them.

International shipping is very easy if I go to the post office and make the people who are paid to do it figure out how much it is. Which is why I don't mind shipping internationally!

Awesome! Where will it be run through (I saw posts at the crochet comm too), so I can go and join the appropriate place? Or is it going to be run here and at crochet too, and I'm worrying too much?

I'm running it through both crochet and knitting so have no fear! Everyone goes on one big spreadsheet and I let the Random Finger pick who goes with who, keeping careful attention on allergies and postal preference.

The allergies thing is great! Because I'm not allergic to much in the way of yarns, but I definitely need to ask for yarn from fur-free homes thanks to my ridiculous pet dander allergies. (Seriously, that stuff gets everywhere. The only yarn I've ever been allergic to is stuff that's been spun in an environment where there were either cats or dogs to contaminate the wool.)

I'm in! Although, I am allergic to most wool/angora/mohair type things, unless superwash. Can I opt-in as superwash wool only? I am happy with other natural fibers, and I love sock yarn.
