What are your favorite knitting-related technologies and applications?

For example: I have several on my iPhone. I have the Ravelry app, Wooly; I have Yarma, which is similar to Instagram and integrates with Ravelry and Flickr; I have MapMuse's Knitting and Yarn Shop Locator; and I have Stitchminder, which is a row counter/pattern row minder/increase counter/repeat counter.

What do you have that you like to use, and why? Maybe we can all help each other find new and useful apps!

I don't yet use any knitting based apps, but now that I sit down & think about it I'm not sure how i get by without the ravelry or the Stitchminder apps. Thanks for sharring! This will make life much simpler.

I love Stitchminder but have been too cheap to shell out for Wooly - can't honestly imagine myself using it much anyway as I use an ipod not an iphone, and most places where I have wireless I either have a computer or wouldn't want to do heavy duty rav browsing (i.e. work). But being able to tap away and count my rows is fantastic.

What I really want, and possibly would pay for, is an app that will do the thing where you take a needle and lay it over the screen and determine what size it is.

Knitting row counter for android is my favorite simple knitting tool. But I find Ravulous a waste of money.

Eh, it's okay. It's an app that requires another app for full functionality, which is annoying. I'm happiest most that the android market description uses "complement" correctly.

I'll have to look at that--I use County sometimes.

I use Knit Companion on my iPad. Is it the best? No -- but since most of my patterns are now in PDF, it makes it a heckuva a lot easier to follow a complicated pattern. Getting a pattern set up is a little clunky, but once that's done, I've had great success with it. A little pricey at $15, but I've found the cost worth my while.
