Recent project roundup
Nov. 16th, 2012 03:55 amHello, my fabulous fellow knitters!!! I haven't posted here in awhile, even though I've been doing a TON of knitting, so I thought I'd share some projects with you that I've recently finished!
First, the Shawl from Hell.

This shawl took me over two months, knitting as fast as my fingers would go because it was a paid project commissioned by someone. And I swear to fuzzy baby Buddha that I will never do one of these things on a time constraint again. EVER. It's done in KPPPM and sock yarn, and each diamond is about 2" square, and they're stitched together and it is just AWFUL when you're trying to get it done before the fifth of Never, you know? AUGH.
This scarf was made for a friend's 3-yr-old daughter.

Isn't that the cutest thing ever?! XD
Next, this fabulous matched set I put together. I started this the night I finished the above shawl, because I wanted some yarn that was thick and soft and chunky after two months of dealing with KPPPM (my fingers were getting sore!!!). This is Berocco Boboli Quick, which is a crazy-soft super bulky yarn.
Hat

(Yes, I have it on inside out. Laugh. I don't care. XD)
Scarf (plain 10-stitch garter)

Mitts

This hat. I just finished this hat literally an hour or so ago.

What can I say about this hat? I LOVE THIS HAT. Seriously. And it's knitted in a gorgeous Manos del Uruguay that I got on the cheap from Craftsy. Tomorrow I'll be casting on a matching scarf. Seriously, though, I cannot WAIT to wear this hat out someplace.
On the needles:
This one is just a plain 2x2 ribbed scarf for a friend's teenage son. Nothing fancy, because, you know, teenagers.

I'm so excited about the cold weather finally getting here!!! :D
