:D Strength to you! I used to crochet with cordonnet thread (quite a bit thicker than sewing thread), and I try to remind myself that it's quite a bit thinner than sock-weight yarn.... Where I live, sock/fingering weight is necessary--it doesn't snow in winter.

What are you making?

Since I had two skeins of the sock weight, I doubled up and now I'm enjoying knitting with it.

It's going to be a garter stitch shawl/scarf of some kind, I'm improvising since the pattern I wanted to use didn't work with the sock yarn very well.
