I finished my Ravelympics sweater!

Finished sweatervest

It is the Mason-Dixon Perfect Sweater, now without sleeves so I could actually get it done, plus about three inches in body length (it could have used four, I'm tall), short-row bust shaping, and a little colorwork detail.

Yay! Congratulations. Your sweater looks great. I like the colorwork - it's a nice addition that doesn't overwhelm the rest of it.

Oh that's lovely. I love the edging on the arms and collar.

That's very cute! Is that little picot trimming? Adorable!

Oh, it's so cute on socks. The other super cute sock border I've recently discovered is a fold-over hem. It's plain, yet somehow so charming. Stockinette for 5 rows, purl round, stockinette 5 more rows, then knit the cast-on edge together with the next row. Tidy! Well, heck, that's probably how you did your picots, isn't it? Except with actual picot-ing. ;)

Hee! That's pretty much how I did the brim for Dalek Hat, only I was doing K2P2 ribbing either side of the 3 purl rows for the turn.

It's lovely! I especially like the colorwork and the cute picot edging.

And here is my question. When putting in bust shaping with short rows, how do you know a) where to put the short rows and b) how many to put in? This has always mystified me.
