Converting Needle Sizes

I got my hands on some mohair blend from France. The gauge information on the label is in metric system (I am not), but I can convert that easily enough. However, it gives me French and Japanese needle sizes to get this gauge. Does anyone out there know what the following needles sizes translate to in either US sizes or in mm sizes?

French (the label says "Fr", which I guess is France) - 6/8
Japon: 15

So I somewhat unofficially took part in the '11 shawls in 2011' challenge at Ravelry (as in, not a member of the group, just did it for myself). I just did a huge post with photos, pattern, and yarn links, and it's over at my personal journal here. Very image-heavy, but I hope someone enjoys!
