Converting Needle Sizes

I got my hands on some mohair blend from France. The gauge information on the label is in metric system (I am not), but I can convert that easily enough. However, it gives me French and Japanese needle sizes to get this gauge. Does anyone out there know what the following needles sizes translate to in either US sizes or in mm sizes?

French (the label says "Fr", which I guess is France) - 6/8
Japon: 15

Yes, I just found that one (the first link google lead me to was no help at all). And I'm happy to say I've got some 10 and 11 needles on hand!

French sizes are in mm, so that way's easy :)

The only problem was that neither the yarn nor the conversion charts I found through google said that, which seemed intuitive but me and intuition to do with numbers don't go together all that well. I found the US size through the same wiki chart as hellkitty pointed me to, which specifically listed Japanese sizes along with the metric, so by taking that info and going through my quiver of wooden needles that have both the US and metric sizes stamped on them I was able to figure out that my intuition appeared to be spot on for a change. It's good to know, though, because I'm on the verge of buying a bunch of Italian yarn and would have probably ended up with the same problem. Thanks for the confirmation ---- it will come in handy.
