Not great at in-progress knitting pics, me. Still on the remains of Chart A. There's a post about the shawl in my knitting blog, if you're so inclined. :)
Anyone have any tips for taking better pics of in-progress work? Or of their knitting in general?
I'm about halfway through Chart C (maybe a bit less) and just tied on my second skein of yarn, which makes me think there will be enough left over to do something else interesting.
I'm also starting to wonder where one might acquire blocking wires, as opposed to using dozens of straight pins when the time comes.
Did you use more repeats of Chart A, or are you just using yarn at a prodigious rate? :-D
I got my "blocking wires" from a soldering shop. They were...oh hell, I can't remember the width, but they're steel and they're about a millimeter across and 2-3' long. I got a giant bundle of them since they wouldn't sell me less than a certain weight, but it was still super cheap.
Oh, and if there's no welding shops near you, I think KnitPicks has blocking stuff.
Hey, nothin' to be ashamed of. I am still working on a feather-and-fan scarf I started three years ago. ;) Just did a rep tonight, as a matter of fact!
I'm not (too) ashamed. I did start late. But I also had to start over three times. No matter what I'm knitting, dish clothe or afghan, I have to start over three times. Can someone explain that to me?
