I've now made one of these - picture here. Definitely ouchy on the fingers - I think next time (yes, there will probably *be* a next time!) I'll get a roll of cheap polypropylene twine from the pound-shop. This was jute string, and it was really too stiff to knit with; I had to do S1 K1 psso instead of the K2tog.

But it's turned out quite nicely! Now all I have to do is decide what I'm going to put in it...
