With the Deep Fall Knitty hot off the presses, a chat post seemed like a fun idea.

What jumps out at you? What do you love? What do you hate? What will you make? And does anyone think having two fall issues is a bit nutty?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand go!

I don't often print patterns from KNitty, but I did with Nemesis right away! They are exactly the sort of pattern I love - geometric and cool.

And it's pretty easy to convert toe-up socks to cuff down, you just exchange the type of toe and heel to whatever sort you prefer, and flip the charts over. (Or, sometimes it doesn't matter if the stitch pattern is upside down, it'll still make a nice sock.)

I used to convert all the sock patterns I came across to toe-up, because it was what I preferred. Now I've finally got the hang of making cuff-down, and I can make 'em either way. But I encourage you to try doing a toe-up sock from the cuff down! I think you'll be pleased to discover that all the sock patterns are available to you, when you can do that. :-)

I've heard you can do that - I just need to have a crack at it, I guess!
I agree, re Nemesis. I want to print it out and make it right now. But I have a million other things to make first :-(
