pinesandmaples: Text only; reads "Not everything will be okay, but some things will." (knitting: isn't yarn fantastic?)

With the Deep Fall Knitty hot off the presses, a chat post seemed like a fun idea.

What jumps out at you? What do you love? What do you hate? What will you make? And does anyone think having two fall issues is a bit nutty?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand go!

I live in Canada (same area as Amy, actually), and I felt a little cheated when spring and summer were combined in favour of more fall. It feels quite regional. Yeah, there are more knitting patterns for cooler climes, but that just makes it a challenge. *sulk*

Also (coincidentally?), nothing in this issue really jumped at me. I didn't hate it, but there was nothing I adored.

I, too, am seriously over the top-down seamless construction. Sure, it's handy as all getout, but raglan sleeves are a challenging fit, especially since no one seems to build some short rows in. Humans do not have radial symmetry, people!

*ahem*

Wow, quite a lot of boat-neck jumpers all of a sudden. Sort of surprising, considering I've seen maybe 2 or 3 in all the other issues combined. (I love a boat neck, and I've got some sport weight alpaca just waiting to become one when I find the right pattern for it.)
