With the Deep Fall Knitty hot off the presses, a chat post seemed like a fun idea.

What jumps out at you? What do you love? What do you hate? What will you make? And does anyone think having two fall issues is a bit nutty?

I marked three of the patterns, Lia, Scare isle beret and the kilt hose Kilravock. I don't know that I'll make the beret (no one I know wears them and my face isn't suited for them) but I like hte idea. Lia may get made, eventually, if I don't get distracted, and I've already got in mine the yarn I want to use for the socks. I may do nemesis instead, though; I like the curves of Nemesis. But I've been keeping an eye out for a shaped calf knee socks, I love the banded cable for the folded over cuff (and clearly I need preactice in grafting) and I seem to knit super-tight, so maybe a man's sock would be simpler / require less fiddling for sizing.

I like the look of spry? Scry? (the slouchy hat that uses multiple balls of the same varigated yarn to create visual complexity while remaining structurally simple) but it's not suited to this region.
