Guess what, folks! Today you'll be receiving your partners! I'll be sending them out by PM, but I'm going to leave this post for everyone to say what they can and can't have - for example, if you've got a wool allergy, post it down here.

Everyone ready?

GO!

No alpaca, or mohair please.

No alpaca or mohair in my yarn. Not even in a mix, please. I can't get on with it at all. No acrylic either, I have enough.

But for the rest, I'm all good. :D

I'm allergic to mohair and most alpaca. (This may or may not apply to angora, too -- haven't verified against more than one brand.) My skin doesn't get on with certain types of acrylic, so it's easiest just to rule it out.

Laceweight is too fine for me to manipulate without a lot of hand pain. Learned that one the hard way. :/ Sport on up is best, but I can work with nice fingerings on a good day.

So looking forward to this :D

thicker yarn; no acrylic, please

I think I'd prefer heavier yarns (just no really fine ones like for lace). No acrylic if possible. You can send me the alpaca and mohair someone else doesn't want... :D

I am allergic to wool. Also, I'm not very good at crochet yet,so I frog a lot.

Also allergic to ordinary sheep's wool. AFAIK, I'm fine with alpaca, angora, all those other wools out there. Not sheep, though. *g* Thanks!

(my knitting instructor used to hand me skeins of uncertain lineage because I could tell after a few seconds of fidgeting with it whether it was wool or not)

No acrylic please

And I'm allergic to cats, so...if you happened to have somebody's hand-spun cat yarn, save it for somebody else! :)

If anybody has hand-spun cat yarn, or is interested in producing some, please contact me, I am horribly interested in this idea. :-)

I'm not fond of acrylic, but am happy with any natural fiber.

Thanks!

Hello!

I must also report a sensitivity to pure wool, but I do fine with superwash. I also have hit and miss problems with alpaca (the llama silk I just knit a cowl with was fine, for instance.)

(also I'm katieintheworld on Ravelry, if you want to see the kinds of things I've been knitting...)

Dear Swap Partner Person:

I'm fine with pretty much whatever. :) I'm Fallingbooks over on Rav if you want to see what I generally get up to.

I prefer natural fibers if possible. Any weight up through lace is fine by me--my Ravelry username is the same, though I don't have nearly enough photos up right now.

I'm absolutely thrilled with pretty much anything. I have mostly acrylic but that's not by choice, just what I got for free, though I don't have much use for the fun fur / eyelash stuff that I have.

Blessings,
Shadow

I like everything except for mohair (weirds me out) and cotton (dries my skin), adore natural fibers, and prefer any weight but bulky, just because I do more fine-gauge knitting than anything else. Please feel free to check out Ravelry, I've the same username there as here!
