finished armwarmers

I started these a long time ago--decided to finish them since the weather is being all New England and stuff. I had to modify the pattern to include some arm shaping, and I'm reasonably happy with how it turned out--could be tighter, but better too loose than too tight to wear comfortably. They keep my arms warm and I can still type in them! This is also my first project with cabling, so I feel like I leveled up in knitting in some small way.

Details on the arm shaping: I modified the pattern by adding an extra needle with some more stitches at the beginning (at the end by the elbow), and decreasing as I worked towards the wrist. (I did a bit of swatching and made an educated guess as to how many to add, and it seems to have worked out fine.) Since the cable is the only part with a pattern, this wasn't really tricky at all, and it's a tactic I think I'd recommend anyone with larger arms who's interested in full-length armwarmers.

Congratulations! You have reached a new level. You can now knit cabled items and amend patterns. You have 523,212 stitches to go to your next level.

Those are lovely. What yarn did you use? Looks like Noro.
