The Winter 2011 issue of Knitty has been live for a few weeks so I'm sure everyone has taken a quick peek at it. My own commentary has been posted in my journal, but I'd love your comments and thoughts here or there.

And indeed, somehow I missed the release of the new issue!

I don't have a complete set of comments, but I definitely share your take on Maeva and Chrysanthemums. Either would be a small stretch for me (Maeva less so; I've not dealt with more than one color yet). Though I'd like to like Shetlander, I don't, and the photographic choices bug me a bit. (Kissing a statue is fine, but redeye?)

himeykitty actually sent me a text a few weeks ago, asking if she'd imagined a new Knitty. I felt the same way.

It hasn't really hit my kinks for the past couple of years in a lot of ways. But the patterns are free, and it's given a spring board to lots of upcoming designs who are the standard now, so I just call it an even trade. LOL.
