help, oh help
Nov. 5th, 2011 11:25 ami finished this scarf exactly a week ago, and i've been wearing it almost every day since. this morning i discovered a HOLE in it where no hole should be! it looks like the yarn just broke. if anyone has any tips for fixing it, i would be terribly grateful.

i have some similar weight and color yarn, but none of the original stuff (there was only like a foot of it left anyway). also i don't know why the image is on its side. it's right side up on flickr. sigh.

But the patch does show, especially if it's not quite the same color yarn. The second link shows how to fake a knit stitch when you're darning, which looks better but is something I've never tried (I just weave straight across), so I don't know how difficult it is.

i say, darn the hole as suggested, but use a kick ass contrasting color
take the opportunity to make a special patch
