I need to replace my knitting bag because the holes in the bottom are large enough to stick my entire finger through. I'm having a hard time finding bags that are in the backpack form factor, though. I have only found two so far- the one I have (from Walker) and one released by Namaste this year.

Do any of you know of any others? (I don't need recommendations- it's fine with me if you can't vouch for quality. I just want pointers.)

I didn't even know such a thing existed! Can't be of any help, I'm afraid, but I'll be watching this topic to see what others come up with - this is a great idea!

Perhaps a Tom Bihn bag?

They also make great shoulder bags just for knitting:

I own a Little Swift knitting bag, and the quality is beyond excellent!

I have a Tom Bihn Synapse and like it very much. I'm not sure I'd go for the total cost of putting a Little Swift into it (and with my neck problems, I need two shoulder straps), but I've thought about it! Anyway, one could easily put one or more of the Bihn stuff sacks (better quality than the similar-looking KnitPicks ones) into a Synapse, and the Synapse's internal pocket in the main compartment could also house something, in a pinch.

Google search found me the following:

http://www.julianbaglady.com/servlet/Categories?category=Knitting+Backpacks

http://halcyonyarn.com/odds_ends/accessory_bags.html (scroll all the way to the bottom: they have one in cream/navy and one in pink/lime)

http://www.cafepress.com/+knitting+canvas-bags on the left side, under the filters, find the "canvas bag" filter and choose "sack pack" - those are like those drawstring bags the kids often use for backpacks now. And they have cute knitting-related prints. I'm personally quite fond of the one that has three balls of yarn and the word ballsack. XD

Hope that helps!
