I got my first pair of Addi Turbos two days ago to replace a pair of Clovers that were a little too short.

I really want to make all kinds of all caps comments with lots of exclamation points going on about why did no one tell me about these wonderful things, but honestly, everyone actually has, I just wasn't listening all that well.  Ok, actually I had fixated on Clovers as my needle brand because they were such an improvement over the aluminum ones generally available at craft stores.

Don't get me wrong, I still love my Clovers, it's just that once you get down to about US 2, they're not strong enough for the length of the needle and I've broken a few.

I'm so excited about the new needles that I have the urge to tell everyone I know 'I bought my first Addis!', but all the non-knitters look at me like I'm nuts.

Oh, Addis. So lovely. I once told someone in a yarn store that I was oggling the needles, and they looked at me like I was nuts. But it makes such a difference!

Also nice (and slightly less expensive than Addis) are Knitter's Pride needles, available at certain LYS. They're wood (so warmer), and super smooth and they have a really nice tip that doesn't split stitches. The cables are super sturdy as far as I have experienced.

Honestly, though, it's all a matter of your own preference. ^_^
