The Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival is going on at the Howard County Fairgrounds in West Friendship, MD this weekend.

Wish I could! I went a few years ago, and it's a great festival. I've come to appreciate Rhinebeck now I live closer to that (and I'm more familiar with some of the Rhinebeck regulars because many are local-ish to me), but I'd still love to go back to MDSW one of these years.

I've never been to Rhinebeck (it's a fair distance, and without a car it would be a major distance), but I hear it's a great show.

MSDW is one weekend of overwhelming fiber, imo. It's a lot of fun!

I want to, and usually I'm down in Baltimore around this time of year anyway, but my parents won't watch my dog for the weekend because I "can't afford to travel" and my car "isn't road worthy." I did not take into consideration that, if I adopted a dog I couldn't kennel or hire a petsitter for, then I'd still be under my parents' thumb if I want to take a weekend vacation.

But, oh well, there's always next year!

I will be there, with several of my besties!

The chaplain at my college sponsors a van, and we think it's just the best thing ever. We'll probably be on the ground from 10a to 2p (to get someone back for work), and I'm game for a quick DW group picture or summach.
