The Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival is going on at the Howard County Fairgrounds in West Friendship, MD this weekend.

I want to, and usually I'm down in Baltimore around this time of year anyway, but my parents won't watch my dog for the weekend because I "can't afford to travel" and my car "isn't road worthy." I did not take into consideration that, if I adopted a dog I couldn't kennel or hire a petsitter for, then I'd still be under my parents' thumb if I want to take a weekend vacation.

But, oh well, there's always next year!
