I have shelved a cardigan I was working on for my mum because I am on the last row and about to run out and it maddens me (especially since I decided not to size down my needles for the waistband) enough to make the project no fun. Eventually I'll start another ball of yarn and bind off, but for now there are (fun) hats to be knit!
Oh no! But on the plus side, you should pretty much be able to count that ball as full for future projects' purposes, because a thumb can't use much more yarn than the standard variance, I would have thought.
