I have shelved a cardigan I was working on for my mum because I am on the last row and about to run out and it maddens me (especially since I decided not to size down my needles for the waistband) enough to make the project no fun. Eventually I'll start another ball of yarn and bind off, but for now there are (fun) hats to be knit!

I've done that too.... given a project a time out in a drawer before I can face picking it up again.
