Instant gratification projects!

I suppose this says something about me as a knitter, but I need an instant gratification project every now and again. The three major projects I always keep on my front burners are socks, lace, and Something Big. (Right now, it's a sweater.)

Finishitis is an angry little itch, and I needed to scratch it so what else did I do besides cast on for something new?

My instant gratification project these days is Wavy from an old Knitty, in some really delicious Merino Twine from Creatively Dyed Yarns.

I cannot believe I am knitting a freaking scarf for instant gratification.

Washcloths (or if I want to crochet, bath puffs). Even if the pattern is new or slightly complicated, it doesn't frustrate me like a large project with those obstacles might. Also, I enjoy knitting much more when I'm making it for someone else, and with washcloths I get that gift-knitting feeling even if I haven't got a specific recipient in mind (and may even keep it for myself).
